Position: Human Resource Manager

Position Purpose
The Human Resource Manager will plan, initiate, develop, review, and implement HR systems and processes in line with the University’s HR policy and strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and selection management.
- Staff onboarding, orientation, and training.
- Performance and reward management.
- Compliance with labor laws, university policies, and regulations.
- Payroll and benefits management.
- Development of HR information management systems.
- Discipline, grievance handling, and exit management.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration (HR option), Industrial Psychology, or related fields.
- A Master’s degree or professional HR qualification is an added advantage.
- At least 10 years of HR experience, with 4 years at a senior managerial level in a reputable organization.
- Proficiency in MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of labor and employment laws.
Competencies Required:
- Leadership and decision-making skills.
- Negotiation and interpersonal communication.
- Integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of financial and labor management.
Tenure of Appointment:
A four-year contract, renewable subject to a six-month probation period.
